With their energetic green spark and soar blue colouring, these Nike SB Grateful Dead Dunk Low Pro Shoes arrive as part of an exclusive collaboration between the iconic skatewear brand and the much-loved Californian band. Honouring the Grateful Dead’s iconic ‘Dancing Bear’ album artwork designed by Bob Thomas, these low-profile Dunks are styled with single-colour neon green suede and nappy faux-fur uppers, whilst the electric-blue jagged midfoot Swooshes effortlessly characterises each bear’s unique, jester-like collar. An impact-resistant Zoom Air unit is compacted into the heel of cushioned sockliner for added boardfeel and comfort, whilst the two-tone midsole and outsole works tirelessly to implement more skate-friendly wear through its circular tread pattern and innovatively placed pivot points. Puffy, interchangeable and lightning-bolt tipped laces help keep the chunky padded tongue securely in place, whilst the unexpected addition of a zippered stash-pouch across the tip of the tongue pays homage to the band’s 420-friendly ethos and admirable DeadHead attitude. Across the rear, neatly embroidered blue-stitch ‘nike’ branding decorates the ankle tab, whilst the custom insoles and the characterised co-branded ‘bear patch’ across the front of the tongue helps seal these court-styled sneakers with their own sense of commemorative charm.
